Privacy notice
This notice explains how personal information is handled on this website, ridecadence.app, and when you email us. It does not cover the Cadence application itself, which a team uses under its own agreement.
Who we are
Cadence is operated from South Africa by an individual. Cadence is not a registered company. For the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), the operator is the responsible party and also acts as the Information Officer.

When you visit this website
This website has no forms, sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools, and loads nothing from other companies’ servers.
Our hosting provider, Netlify, receives the technical information every website request carries (such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not combine this information with anything else, and we do not export or keep it ourselves.
When you email us
If you write to hello@ridecadence.app, for example through a “Request a Demo” link, which opens your own email application, we receive what you choose to send: usually your name, email address, team, role and message.
- Why: to reply to you, to arrange and give the demonstration you asked for, and to follow up on that request. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell your information.
- Lawful basis: processing is necessary to take the steps you ask for before any agreement (POPIA section 11(1)(b)) and serves our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (section 11(1)(f)).
- Voluntary: writing to us is your choice. Without your email address we cannot reply.
- How long we keep it: only as long as it is needed to reply to you and follow up on your request, as POPIA section 14 requires. Then it is deleted.
Who else handles it
We use three service providers, each only for the purpose shown:
- Netlify hosts this website.
- ImprovMX forwards email sent to hello@ridecadence.app. By its own documentation, it logs the sender, recipient, subject and delivery details for 7 days, and holds a message’s content only until it has been delivered.
- Google (Gmail) holds the inbox where forwarded emails are received and answered. Replies are currently sent from the operator’s own Gmail address, not from hello@ridecadence.app.
These providers may process information outside South Africa. We transfer only what is needed to answer you, as POPIA section 72 permits where a transfer is necessary for steps taken at your request.
How it is protected
This website is served only over an encrypted connection, with strict security headers and no third-party scripts. Only the operator reads demo enquiries.
Your rights
You may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to our use of it. Write to hello@ridecadence.app. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
